erik ryerson is a filmmaker living in new york city. he holds an mfa in film production from new york university's tisch school of the arts, where he concentrated in directing and cinematography. he received his ba in philosophy from antioch college in 1997 and has been working as an independent filmmaker since the early nineties.
erik's film work has received numerous awards & support including: the warner bros. pictures film production award, the fujifilm thesis production award, and full fellowships for his studies at tisch.
erik works as an independent director, cinematographer & set lighting technician, web developer, and is also a member of new york university's scps faculty where he teaches digital video production and lighting.
erik is currently very hard at work writing multiple feature-length narrative screenplays (in various stages of completion) and is also developing a documentary feature film.
when not making, working on, watching or thinking about film, erik spends his time training & coaching brazilian jiu-jitsu, writing code, & trying very, very hard to fall asleep.
