Nova Ren Suma is a fiction writer living in New York City. She has been awarded fiction fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the MacDowell Colony. Her short stories have appeared in Small Spiral Notebook, New York Stories, Orchid, Gulf Coast, LIT Magazine, and The Portland Review. She holds an MFA in fiction from Columbia University where she was co-editor-in-chief of COLUMBIA: A Journal of Literature and Art, and a BA in writing & photography from Antioch College.
Nova also writes for young readers—and her first original novel for tweens is forthcoming in hardcover from Simon & Schuster / Aladdin in Fall 2009. She is at work on a YA novel and a short story collection for adults.
